Learn

In order to expand our impact, we work to develop and strengthen the skills, resources, and knowledge of others. We provide education and help build capacity to create more inclusion for people with disabilities.

We offer a variety of trainings on disability, accessibility, and inclusion for individuals and teams. Topic areas include, but aren’t limited to, assistive technology, workforce inclusion, and Universal Design.

Assistive Technology (AT) Lab

The AT Lab is an education and resource center. Visit our AT Lab during Open Lab, every Thursday from 12–5 p.m., or check out all the free resources we offer on our website. The lab also offer consultations.

Universal Design Guidebook

Universal Design (UD) is design for everyone. Our guidebook covers the basics of UD and shares guidance on how to design buildings for all. Learn more and download our Universal Design Guidebook.

ADU Case Study

Community Vision has developed several Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs). ADUs are a way to create more affordable, accessible housing. Learn more in our ADU Case Study.

Advocate

Our advocacy work seeks to address the harmful power imbalances experienced by people with disabilities. We are working to change the societal conditions that create these inequities.

Affordable, Accessible Housing

People with disabilities face unique challenges in the housing crisis. As Oregon works to meet the housing needs of people across the state, Community Vision is advocating alongside people with disabilities for policies that create more affordable, accessible housing and prioritize housing for people with disabilities.
