Feeling the Love: Party for Possibilities

The Party!
We are still buzzing from the incredible energy and support we received at the Party for Possibilities on May 9, 2025!
Our annual fundraiser exceeded our wildest expectations. Positive vibes overflowed the sparkly event space at the Loft at 8th Avenue in inner Southeast Portland.
We felt surrounded by people who believe in our work and will be by our side as we navigate whatever the future holds. We won’t soon forget how good it was to come together as a community to affirm and celebrate what is possible for people with disabilities.
Video Premiere: Jonathan Dreams Big
Each year we share the story of a supported individual whose independence and participation have been supported by Community Vision. This year, Jonathan Floyd-Versio talked about his experience in a video that premiered at the event. He was also one of the evening’s honored guests.
Jonathan came to Community Vision in 2014. He wanted to live in his own place, have a job, and pursue his dreams. Through taking part in our Supported Living, Employment Connections, and Housing Access programs, Jonathan is reaching his goals and thriving.
When Jonathan dreams big, his team at Community Vision says, “Game on!”
Paddles Raised High!
We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of generosity and solidarity during the party. As we mentioned at the event, thanks to our sponsors, everything raised at the event (including matches) goes directly to our programs.
This year’s Paddle Raise was a thrill to behold! A huge thank you to all who contributed matches at each level to ensure such a successful Paddle Raise. We are especially grateful for the $25,000 matching donation from the Kuni Foundation.
Adding up all pre-event contributions, purchases at the event, the Paddle Raise, and some post-event donations, we netted $80,000! This will go directly to ensuring that people with disabilities are accepted, included and able to live a life they choose!

Why Our Work Matters
Community Vision provides services, education, and advocacy to ensure that people with disabilities direct their own lives. We envision a world where people with disabilities are included, accepted, and able to live a life they choose.
Direct services and support for people with disabilities is the core of our work. We offer four programs that work one-on-one with people so they can move toward their individual goals. Our programs—Supported Living, Employment Connections, Housing Access, and the Assistive Technology (AT) Lab—facilitate richer and more self-determined lives for the people we serve. Highlights from the last year:
- 60 supported individuals received 179,515 hours of one-on-one, in-home assistance
- 163 people received support with finding an affordable home
- 23 people had on-the-job coaching
- 1,294 people received education or consultations on assistive technology
We also provide education and training to improve how people with disabilities are supported across the state. For example, we recently launched a four-part training series called Technology Solutions for Support Professionals.
In addition, Community Vision does advocacy work, pushing for policy changes. Over the last year, our focus is on building more accessible, affordable housing in Oregon. This includes our support of SB 444.
