KC found herself in need of a new home. She had to quickly leave her old apartment due to mold, accessibility issues, and unaffordable rent. Couch surfing and hotel living were hard on her mental, physical, and financial health. Due to her specific needs and limited budget, her housing search soon became overwhelming.
KC’s good friend saw that KC was at risk of being unhoused and referred her to Community Vision’s Housing Access Program. Together we worked to find KC a new home that allows her to live independently. She is especially happy with all of the windows in her apartment and the many trees on the property.
“I want to tell you about my lovely little new home. I really like it! My friends helped me set it up nicely, and it looks really cute and feels comfortable,” KC wrote us in August 2023. “Thank you so much for working with me to make this happen. It feels like an actual literal miracle.”
