On July 19th, the street between Community Vision and PHAME came alive for the Disability Joy Block Party, a joyful celebration of Disability Pride Month filled with music, laughter, art, and community. Performances by PHAME performers, Chameleonica, John “Elvis” Schroeder, and DJ Lamar rounded out a truly memorable afternoon of music, comedy, and dancing. Throughout the event, attendees connected with disability-focused organizations from across Portland, explored vendors and hands-on art projects, and enjoyed food provided by Nourish & Flourish Kitchen.
