Community Vision has much to be thankful for this year! Last week we celebrated another accomplishment: the completion of two affordable housing units in Southeast Portland.

These distinctive units are part of Hacienda CDC’s Mass Casitas project, which piloted the manufacturing of mass timber modular construction. This innovative housing solution is affordable, durable, and environmentally friendly.

As part of the pilot, Community Vision received a 3-bedroom home and an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU). The ADU will be reserved for people with disabilities. The 3-bedroom home will be open to any qualified low-income tenant.

These new units are the culmination of efforts from multiple parties. In addition to Mass Casitas, Multnomah County, the Kuni Foundation, and Community Vision’s  founder, Joe Wykowski, all came together to make these units possible.

Community Vision is delighted to be a part of the solution to the housing crisis, one unit at a time.
