Harvest Century Volunteers
The Harvest Century features four looped routes (3, 45, 75, and 100 miles) starting from the Civic Center in downtown Hillsboro. We need over 200 community volunteers to register participants, load trucks, cut hundreds of bagels, drive support vehicles, stuff goody bags, and much more. Volunteer locations are in Hillsboro, Forest Grove, Newberg, Canby and Sherwood. Group opportunities are available and make a fun team-building activity. What’s New?

-Longtime CVI participant Jim S. recently purchased his own Portland home
Jim was part of a landmark lawsuit establishing his right to direct his own care,
and we’re proud of him for taking another huge step toward independence!
-Chris F. is proud to announce the launch of Chris’s EcoFriendly Cleaning
Business. Read more on how he got started, and how you can hire him to
clean your home, business, or event.

- Turnout at the Harvest Century, Community Vision’s biggest event of the
year, was a huge success, with 1,411 riders- about 200 more than last year We
raised nearly $40,000 this year, thanks to the hard work of staff, volunteers,
and many sponsors, including presenting sponsor Showers Pass.
- Asset Building Program (ABP) Director Rebecca Miller has left the
Development Department to run ABP as its own program. She’s off to a great
start, with a new grant from Oregon Accessibility Loan Fund

-Melissa, who accesses CVI’s Supported Living Services, had a starring role in
PHAME Academy’s production of Grease! this summer.

- The recently remodeled house at Sumner Street has gone back on the
market. It’s a terrific property for anyone in Northeast Portland.
