Our program work is guided by the belief that all people, regardless of perceived ability, deserve the freedom to make the basic choices that define their lives. We provide basics personal care services (including help with meals, hygiene, and mobility) as well as support with budgeting and bill paying, getting to and from daily errands or finding and maintaining employment. Individuals live in their own home and we tailor our direct support around their unique needs.

There are extraordinary benefits to providing one-one-one care for individuals. Person-centered planning increases dignity and personal agency, recognizes human potential, and affect profound change in how each of our participants leads his or her life. While our program work stems from partnerships between people who receive care from CVI and the communities in which those people live, these connections lead to extensive community benefits that ripple beyond  supported individuals and their families. Between 50% and 80% of CVI participants are between area median income, and identify as a wide range of ethnic backgrounds. Typically, we provide support to an equal number of men and women.

We accept requests for new participants on an ongoing basis. To learn more about obtaining services through the organization, make an appointment with a County Disabilities Office case worker.
