Mocha Mama’s Cafe & Deli
Many individuals with disabilities work in group settings that are isolated and rarely provide meaningful work or wages. In contrast, since 1995 Community Vision has run Mocha Mama’s, where each month, the business employs 6-8 supported individuals who are learning basic job skills and growing as employees. Many use Mocha Mama as a transition to jobs with greater responsibility and independence while some stay on for years. Employees are paid real wages and work a shift on their own, or with their support staff, to create a truly empowering work experience.
As the name suggests, we serve coffee and other drinks, snacks, and lunch items for students and teachers at the satellite campus. We also can cater your business meetings or get-togethers throughout the week. We invite you to contact us for pricing and menu suggestions. As you can see in this photo taken at Halloween, we make work a lot of fun!
