			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>-Longtime CVI participant Jim S. recently purchased his own Portland home<br />
Jim was part of a landmark lawsuit establishing his right to direct his own care,<br />
and we&#8217;re proud of him for taking another huge step toward independence!<br />
-Chris F. is proud to announce the launch of Chris’s EcoFriendly Cleaning<br />
Business. Read more on how he got started, and how you can hire him to<br />
clean your home, business, or event.</p>
<p>- Turnout at the Harvest Century, Community Vision&#8217;s biggest event of the<br />
year, was a huge success, with 1,411 riders- about 200 more than last year We<br />
raised nearly $40,000 this year, thanks to the hard work of staff, volunteers,<br />
and many sponsors, including presenting sponsor Showers Pass.<br />
- Asset Building Program (ABP) Director Rebecca Miller has left the<br />
Development Department to run ABP as its own program. She’s off to a great<br />
start, with a new grant from Oregon Accessibility Loan Fund</p>
<p>-Melissa, who accesses CVI’s Supported Living Services, had a starring role in<br />
PHAME Academy’s production of Grease! this summer.</p>
<p>- The recently remodeled house at Sumner Street has gone back on the<br />
market. It’s a terrific property for anyone in Northeast Portland.</p>
